The City has been blessed that severe weather has not hit upon us.While we have been fortunate, we must be prepared in the event of extreme weather conditions. About 2 years ago, the City mailed out a flyer, the "Emergency Management Plan".You can now find this information on the City website at "cityofbogata.com" under the subject "Our Community".If you are unable to access the web, please come by City Hall for a copy.
The Well donated by Red River Valley Egg Farm to the City will be starting construction in the next few weeks.All contracts have been drawn up and signed.The preconstruction meeting is the last item before construction can begin.
The City has gone out for bids on the old nursing home.The City must advertise for 2 weeks in the local newspaper under state law, then sealed bids will be opened.The tabulated bids will be presented to the Council.The Council will determine and vote on the contractor to remove the structure and clean up the lot.
As a reminder the Election is May 4th.Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm at the Community Center meeting room.
May 4th is the Spring Community Wide Garage Sale.The maps will be available at City Hall at 7:00am the day of the sale.If you wish to participate in the sale, please call City Hall before Noon on May 3rd to be placed on the map.
Spring Clean-Up will be on May 9th, 10th, and 11th.Please call City Hall no later than noon on Wednesday, May 8th to get your name on the list to have your items picked up.When you call the office, please provide the list of items to be picked up along with which day you would like the items picked up.All items must be at the curb.You must call to have your items picked up.This clean up is for LARGE items only.Saturday we do not pick-up items, however, a dumpster will be available outside the gates at City Hall to bring your items.Remember the following items cannot be accepted:
NO LEAVES OR YARD WASTE
NO HAZARDOUS WASTE
NO APPLIANCE CONTAINING FREON
