Budget Workshop Scheduled 12/15/2025

PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF BOGATA, TEXAS

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Bogata, Texas, will hold a Budget Workshop on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at the Bogata Community Center, 206 2nd St NW, Bogata, Texas 75417. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the proposed 2025–2026 fiscal year budget.

NOTICE: A Council Member may appear and participate telephonically or on a video platform. The technology used will enable the Council person to be heard by the audience as well as hear the discussions.

IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS- Members of the public may speak on an agenda item during the public forum section of the meeting or at the time the agenda item is called for discussion by the Mayor. Speakers are allowed three (3) minutes per speaker, and the time cannot be saved, transferred, or assigned. Members of the public wishing to address the Council on non-agenda items may do so with a three (3) minute per speaker limit. Consistent with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Council members cannot discuss nor respond to non-agenda presentations. All speakers are expected to maintain a proper decorum when presenting and while in Council chambers. Threats, personal insults, vulgar or profane language is out of order and may result in forfeiture of remaining time and possible removal from the meeting. Citizens wishing to comment must make the request in writing and deliver the requests to the City Secretary 10 minutes prior to the meeting.

NOTICE UNDER TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT To the extent required by law, this meeting notice also constitutes notice of potential meetings of other City boards, commissions, or committees whose members may attend and discuss the above-listed items. No action by such boards, commissions, or committees will be taken unless expressly stated on their agendas.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTICE A copy of the proposed budget will be made available at City Hall and clearly posted on the City’s website at least three business days prior to the meeting, consistent with HB 1522 requirements. A taxpayer impact statement for a median-valued homestead property will also be included in the posting.

CERTIFICATE OF POSTING I hereby certify that this Notice of Meeting was posted on the front door of City Hall and on the City of Bogata website on 12/9/2025 (date), which is at least three business days before the date of the meeting.
