In lieu of the upcoming weekend of winter weather, the City of Bogata is preparing to assist citizens who may have issues with loss of electricity and a need for a warming station. In our Emergency Plans, the community center is designated for that purpose during emergency events. The community center meeting room will be available if a loss of electrical power occurs during Friday evening, Jan. 23rd, at 8:00pm through Monday Jan. 26th, at 12:00 noon. If any notice or information is needed related to this emergency, you can call 936-366-8496. The meeting room area and the bathrooms will be available and are the only areas that citizens will be allowed to access. The kitchen area is off-limits due to repairs being planned for the area. Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, and any snacks you may need during this time. We will be able to supply water and coffee, as needed.
